NIMS

NIMS COMPLIANCE DUE BY OCTOBER 1, 2005!

The following are direct links to FEMA for the NIMS(IS-700) and IC(IS 100)  certification.  As you all know we need to get everyone certified.  When I say everyone that includes:
-Fire/EMS
-Law Enforcement
-Elected Officials
-Dispatchers
-Public Works
-Roads Dept. (State, County, and Township)
-Township boards.
-Bus Drivers
-Health Officials
-And more...

NIMS compliance is one of the requirements that I need to fulfill to make sure that Butler County is eligable for Homeland Security dollars.  This doesn't just include the equipment money we've been getting.  Homeland Security dollars also supply the Public Assistance money that comes after a disaster.  SO, this means that if we are not NIMS compliant and a disaster occurs in our county, we can't get federal assistance.  That could destroy the County financially not to mention that in a situation like Hallam, a town would not be able to rebuild.

So to try to make this as easy as possible, follow the links below.
